3. Off-site equipment hire

On-property equipment stays included in your package. These items only apply when you take the kit off the property, or when an extra night of accommodation sits outside the package you picked.

Extra night at The BeeHive Open-plan self-catering apartment above the studio. Queen bed, fast WiFi, blackout curtains. Bathroom is downstairs in the studio. Coffee, tea and water provided; everything else is self-catering. Per night. R 950 / night Drone footage Anigravity A1 8K 360. Programmed to fly inside the yard only, to a ceiling of 120 metres, for the mountains, the sunrise and the sunset. Flown by our operator, or by a licensed pilot you bring who carries R25,000 of cover. A licensed pilot may apply to the authorities to fly further. No footage of neighbours, under POPIA. R 500 / day 200 GB data top-up Extra upload bundle if your raw footage is heavy. Activated through the client portal. R 99 / 200 GB

The DJI RS 5 gimbal is included in the studio rate, at no additional charge.

Looking for a videographer, editor, sound engineer or voice artist? That is the Network of Creative Bees, not us. Rates are quoted by the Bee directly, and their work carries the BeeHive guarantee rather than the studio's.

4. Cover

Equipment cover is being finalised ahead of launch. Once it is in place the options and the premiums appear here. Until then, the waiver, the deposit and the inspection record at both ends of your day are what govern damage.

Cancellation waiver 7% premium added once-off. Waives the 5-day cancellation forfeiture if you cancel for any reason. 7% of booking

What every booking already includes

From the day you walk in, before any add-on. Lifted straight from our Terms, section 5.

The room

Studio floor, coffee beans, ground coffee, tea and water. Everything else is self-catering. BeeHive sleep-over upstairs.

The equipment

3× Sony α7 IV, Sigma Art glass, ATEM Mini Pro ISO, RODECaster Pro, Shure SM7B on Rode DS2 arms, Apple Mac Mini M4, Adam Audio T5V on BS40 2 stands. All in.

Backup power + fibre

SunSynk 5kVA inverter, 5 kVA battery bank, 6× 500W solar, 100-200 Mbps uncapped fibre, 4G failover.

Booking guarantee

If we lose more than 120 minutes of usable studio time in core hours, the day is on us. See Terms section 3.
